JapanPass.com is operated by a sole trader based in Kobe, Japan. By using this site you agree to these terms. The content on this site is for informational and booking purposes.
Consulting sessions are delivered via Google Meet. Tours are delivered in person in Japan. Digital guides are delivered by download after purchase. All bookings are confirmed by email.
A business can pay to be a JapanPass partner. The paid tiers are Gold, Platinum and Premier, and the current prices are on the For Business page and in our 特定商取引法 disclosure.
What a partner tier is. It changes how your listing appears and where it sits in our pages. It does not change what we say about you.
What a partner tier is not. It is not the green Curated mark. That mark is given only after someone from JapanPass has visited a place in person, it is not for sale at any price, and paying for any tier does not bring it closer. These are two separate things and we keep them separate on purpose.
A partner listing runs for 12 months from the date payment clears.
It renews automatically at the price you paid, unless you cancel. We write to you before each renewal with the date and the amount, so a renewal is never a surprise. A plan paid by bank transfer or cash is invoiced before each renewal and is never charged automatically.
You can cancel at any time, by replying to any email from us or writing to [email protected]. Cancelling stops the next charge; the period you have already paid for runs to its end and the listing returns to a free listing after that.
Full refund within 8 days of a payment, for any reason. After 8 days that payment is not refundable.
If you cancel, your listing keeps its tier until the end of the period you have already paid for, and afterwards returns to a free listing. To ask anything, email [email protected] or reply to any email from us.
If we end a partner listing ourselves for any reason other than a breach of these terms, we refund the unused part of the term, pro rata.
The first 100 partners receive a founding discount on the listing price for their tier: 20% on Gold and Platinum, and 17% on Premier.
The price you join at is the price you keep, for as long as the contract continues. There is no second stage: your price does not change at renewal. Renewal itself is automatic, as set out under Term, renewal and cancellation above.
The discount holds for as long as you renew without a gap. If a paid period ends and is not renewed, Founding Partner status ends and does not return if you rejoin later.
Founding Partner status transfers with the business if it is sold as a going concern, provided the new owner continues the listing without interruption and notifies us within 30 days. It does not transfer separately from the business.
Founding Partner status is limited to the first 100 partners.
Consulting sessions. Cancel more than 24 hours before the booked time and you get a full refund. Inside that window there is no refund.
Custom and private tours are different. A tour commits rooms, transport and guide days weeks or months ahead, so it carries a deposit and a refund scale that depends on how far ahead you cancel. The full terms are at japanpass.com/tour-terms, and the version attached to your quote is the one that applies to your trip.
Digital products are not refundable once delivered, unless there is a technical problem with the file, in which case tell us and we will fix it or refund it.
Partner listings are covered under Term, renewal and cancellation above.
