JapanPass is an English-first guide to places across all 47 prefectures. Travelers and search engines come here to decide where to go. List your business so they find you, in English, when it counts.
We are built for the traveler who reads English and is deciding, right now, where to eat, stay, and go across Japan. That is exactly the moment you want to be in front of.
Thousands of listings across all 47 prefectures, written for English-speaking visitors. Not a regional site and not machine-translated.
Every listing is a real, crawlable page built for search engines and the AI assistants travelers now ask for recommendations.
An independent directory, not an open ad board. Placement you can pay for is kept separate from our earned Curated badge. Travelers trust the site because we do not blur the two.
Start free and stay free, or step up to a partner tier for richer placement. Partner tiers are billed annually. None of them buy the Curated badge, which is earned separately.
Prices are annual and in Japanese yen, tax included. What each tier includes may be refined as we build. Curated is never part of any tier.
We are opening JapanPass to partners now, and the earliest supporters get the best deal we will ever offer. Join as one of the first 100 and you keep your founding price for as long as you stay a partner, even when prices rise later. The figure for each tier is on the cards above.
Founding partners pay less than the published price, and that price is held for as long as the contract continues. There is no second stage: your price does not change at renewal. The exact figure for each tier is on the cards above.
Your founding price holds for as long as you stay a partner, even when prices go up later. It is locked to you, not to a date.
Founding partners sit ahead of later partners at the same tier, so you get more of the attention while the catalog grows.
The green Curated badge means a member of the JapanPass team has personally visited a place and vouches for it. It cannot be bought at any tier, and paying for Gold, Platinum or Premier does not make a listing Curated. Placement and trust are two different things, and we keep them apart on purpose.
Setup is assisted right now, so you are not left to figure out billing on your own. You tell us you are interested, and a person helps you get set up.
Fill in the short form below with your business and the tier you are curious about. There is no payment and no commitment.
A member of the team contacts you to confirm your details, answer questions, and recommend the right tier for your goals.
We handle the setup and, for founding partners, lock in your founding rate for as long as you stay a partner. Your listing goes live or moves up a tier.
Yes, in person. We visit, you scan a QR code and pay by card, and your listing upgrades within minutes.
No. Curated is earned by a personal visit from our team and is never for sale. Paid tiers change your placement and profile, not the Curated badge.
The first 100 partners get a founding price on their tier for as long as they stay a partner, and priority placement over later partners at the same tier. The price you join at is the price you keep, for as long as the contract continues. The figure for each tier is on the cards above. When 100 spots are filled, the offer closes.
Three things, and we would rather be precise than impressive. Your listing carries the name of your tier as its mark. It sorts above free listings on your prefecture and city pages. And it has room for more photographs: the number for each tier is on the cards above. That is the whole list.
Yes. JapanPass is English-first and all-Japan, covering all 47 prefectures. Wherever your business is, you can list.
Yes. The Free tier is free and stays free. Partner tiers are optional and add visibility.
No. The listing fee is the only charge. Travelers contact or book you directly, and we never sit between you and the money.
Full refund within 8 days of payment, for any reason. After 8 days that term runs to its end and is not refunded. Your plan renews automatically at the price you bought at, and we write to you before each renewal with the date and the amount. To cancel, reply to any email from us or write to [email protected]; cancelling stops the next charge and the period you have paid for runs to its end.
A receipt is issued at checkout.
Tell us about your business and we will be in touch to get you set up. No payment now, and registering does not commit you to anything.
Tell us about your business and we will add it to our curation queue. Curated is earned by an in-person visit and is never for sale, but every request helps us plan where to go next.
