JapanPass is built for Japan, and that is where our attention is. We are not licensing the system in other markets yet.
An English-language layer over places a visitor can actually walk to. A catalogue of businesses across all 47 prefectures, hub pages by prefecture and city, and a guide product that hotels put in their rooms: a guest scans a code, answers one question chosen by the local time, and sees real places nearby with the walking distance to each.
The parts that took the longest are the unglamorous ones. Knowing which facts have been checked and which have not, and saying so on the page rather than presenting everything with the same confidence. Refusing to publish a guess when the honest answer is that we do not know.
Those answers do not exist yet, and inventing them to fill a page would be the wrong way to begin a conversation we might have in two years.
We read these. We will not add you to anything, and we will not follow up until there is something real to say.
